  • 05/17/10 - Studio 180 Hosts Girl Scout Badge Program
    Annapolis, MD - 05/17/10 - Studio 180 Dance's owner, artistic director and instructor, Katie Carpenter, provided special sessions to help the Daisy Troop and the Brownie Troop from Indian Creek earn their Girl Scout Sports Badges! Carpenter demonstrated to the girls that dance is, in fact, a sport by offering aerial dance instruction followed by Zumbatomic®, a high cardiovascular dance fitness workout for children. Read More

  • 05/17/2010 - Studio 180 Dance Owner Teams up with D.A.R.E. Dance

  • 05/5/10 - Studio 180 Dance Performs at Annapolis' First Sunday Festival
    Annapolis, MD - 05/05/10 - Studio 180 Dance faculty performed as guest artists at Annapolis' First Sunday Festival on May 2, from 12noon-5pm next to Stan and Joe's on West Street. The faculty performed tap, ballet, hip hop, fabric and trapeze pieces as samples of the dance instruction offered by Studio 180. Along with studio owner, artistic director & instructor, Katie Carpenter, and faculty, Brooke Bowlin and Meggie Carpenter, two of the studio's newest instructors joined in on the festivities! Carey Nagoda, Studio 180's newest aerial instructor, and Paulo Penala, Studio 180's new hip hop instructor added new flare to Studio 180 Dance's repertoire. Click here for event photos

  • 05/05/2010 - Studio 180 Dance Wins High Gold at Starquest Performing Arts Competition!
    Annapolis, MD - 05/05/10 - Studio 180 Dance's Competition Team took home three High Gold Medals and a First Place Best Costume Award at the Starquest Performing Arts Competition on May 1, 2010 at the Mary Harrison Cultural Arts Center/ Northern High School in Owings, MD. Performers from across the state of Maryland competed in dancing, singing, cheerleading, tumbling and baton twirling. Read More

  • 04/29/10 - Studio 180 Dance Performs at Southgate Elementary School
    Annapolis, MD - 04/29/10 - Wednesday, April 21st, Studio 180 Dance owner and artistic director, Katie Carpenter, took her faculty, aerial rig and dance shoes to Southgate Elementary School in Glen Burnie, Maryland to perform her Dance Hard/Dance Strong© curriculum for 350 students. Carpenter and her faculty performed tap, ballet, trapeze and fabric. Carpenter spoke from her DanceHard/ DanceStrong© curriculum in between dances. Read More

  • 03/11/10 - Studio180 Dance Dance-A-Thon for Haiti is a Success!
    Studio 180 Dance hosted a Dance-A-Thon to raise funds for Haiti on Sunday, February 28th from 2 - 5pm at Studio 180 Dance on Gibralter Avenue in Annapolis, MD. 100% of all proceeds have been donated to The American Red Cross. The total amount raised was $3,552! Faculty members ran 3 hour-long classes in the forms of Jazz, Hip Hop, Zumba® and Zumbatomic® as students rotated studio spaces.   • 12/18/2009 - Studio 180’s Winter Show Wows Audience
    Saturday, December 12th and Sunday, December 13th, 2009, Studio 180 Dance hosted their second annual Winter Show! All of their dancers performed holiday inspired dances to holiday music.   • 12/17/2009 - Studio 180’s 2nd Annual Wine/Art/Dance Show a Success
    Studio 180 Dance’s Second Annual Wine/Art/Dance Show was held December 5, 2009 at Studio 180 Dance on Gibralter Avenue in Annapolis, MD. The work of local artists in a variety of media ranging from mixed media to acrylic oils, prints, mosaics and photography was displayed in each studio. Patrons enjoyed white wine perfectly paired with crab cakes, catered by Rockfish Restaurant, and perused the art. The Studio 180 staff also performed tap, jazz, modern and aerial pieces from their professional repertoire to further entertain guests. Read More
